Congratulations to our Community Kickstart Grant recipient – North West Disability Services Australia Limited
We’re absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news! We’re pleased to announce that North West Disability Services Australia Limited has been chosen as the well-deserved recipient of the 2025 ISPT Community Kickstart Grant! They’ll be receiving a $10,000 grant to help them continue their incredibly important work right here in the community.
North West Disability Services believe in empowering every individual to live a full and valuable life. Their vibrant Secret Garden Community Hub, a true haven where nature, creativity, and connection flourish, supports 322 individuals, seniors, and families through inclusive programs.
With the Community Kickstart Grant, they will be able to launch an innovative Hydro-Coop Farming Project within the Secret Garden. This exciting initiative will merge sustainable agriculture with inclusive community engagement, teaching vital, employable life skills in farming, hospitality, and entrepreneurship to people with disabilities, seniors, students, and volunteers. Imagine the impact: fresh, locally grown produce and poultry supplying our on-site café and farm stall, creating a dynamic paddock-to-plate ecosystem that not only nourishes the community but also creates up to 21 paid roles for people with disabilities over five years! This project will benefit over 200 individuals annually, cultivating independence, opportunity, and a thriving, connected community for all.
A huge thank you to all the amazing community groups who applied for this grant. Your dedication to our community is truly inspiring!
