Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury Inc

Connecting Cultures: Youth Exchange Journey

As Merana Aboriginal Community Association, we are deeply committed to supporting and empowering our local Aboriginal community. Celebrating 22 years of service, we address community-identified needs through culturally safe programs and events. With the Community Kickstart Grant, we will launch “Connecting Cultures: Youth Exchange Journey,” a transformative week-long trip for 20 Aboriginal youth aged 15-20 to regional NSW. This journey will foster stronger cultural identity, resilience, and valuable skills through direct connection with other Aboriginal communities. We aim to improve well-being, enrich communities, and create opportunities for future prosperity. By participating in visiting sacred sites, hands-on workshops, and creating a digital storybook, our youth will build lasting bonds and inspire positive change within our community and beyond. This is more than just a trip; it’s a powerful investment in our youth, our culture, and our future.
